are lucky in this part of the world that the shopping centre entrepreneurs,
were busy in more obviously lucrative areas to pay much attention
to Shropshire & The Marches. It's doubtful if many of them even
knew where to look. A good thing because now that conservation has
become a fine art, our towns will remain unspoilt at their hearts.

the river Severn to their advantage. Every town has its
story to tell, often through the architecture as much as
the artifacts. Our towns bustle with everyday trade, as
they have for centuries, and the townspeople have time both
for each other and the appreciative visitor. |
